FINANCIAL
Making Money
Here are some great topics from our forum to get you started on making you slightly more rich than you were yesterday!
Saving Money
Your bank can be a very useful tool in saving money. My general rule of thumb is to deposit 27,777 (becomes 25,000 after fees) whenever I accumulate that much gold.
If you don't see the money in your inventory, you'll be less likely to spend it.

ESSENTIAL
Rebirth
You do not lose anything when you rebirth. You retain all of your skill levels from before you rebirth. The purpose is to reset your current level to 1 so you can gain AP faster again and rank up more skills.
Acronyms
As with any profession, Mabinogi players may speak in alphabet soup sometimes. I've compiled a list of the most frequently used acronyms here.
Upgrading Equipment SUBMITTED BY KOHANETSU
Upgrades make things better, whether it's survival or gathering stuff at a faster rate. Kohanetsu has made this fantastic guide on how to upgrade things along with a few insights found here.
Combat
Mabinogi isn't your 'click and go grab a bag of chips' kind of game. You have to be actively engaged in the combat to survive.
No matter what class you are, remember to use Defense, Counter and Windmill even while you're being hit to turn the tide of battle.

TECHNICAL
Lag Fix
Also known as Disabling the Nagle Algorithm. Say your internet is fast but Mabinogi seems to be a step behind. The main problem is a bandwidth saving feature built into Windows that Mabinogi did not bother to make a workaround for. Instructions found here.
Though if your internet is naturally slow or you live outside the US, this probably won't help much.

ESOTERIC
Change PM Font Size SUBMITTED BY DOCTRINA
It's like CAPS LOCK but better. Just insert <ttfenglish size=100> before your message to make them scream at your victim. Or insert <ttfenglish size=8> to turn them into a whimper.
Face Expression
Find a list of all the possible facial expressions here.
Keep that dumb look on your face by typing it and repeating it with a space between.

Run through Dungeon Door
Say you're running through a dungeon with an inconsiderate who spawns monsters before you're in the room. Simply click inside the room before it closes and you'll walk right through.
Make a Group PM SUBMITTED BY THEMUFFINMAN
Just like them conference calls. Open a PM with someone, then click on the box with their name within the PM window. Then add the person you'd like to add to the group PM. Be sure not to close the window because you'll leave the chat if you do!

Your fantasy life is going fantastic but, don't forget to take care of your real self too.
Your mental and physical health are very important to your well-being, happiness and essential to a long and prosperous life.
Between dungeons and at least every hour, take a minute to stretch and pay attention to your body's needs.
Are you yawning? Are you cold? Is your stomach growling? Are you thirsty? Do your bones and muscles feel stiff? Do you need to go potty?
The game can wait, your friends in Mabinogi can wait.
